1979 - On going collection.
I have been immersed in the art world for virtually all of my life and it is not all that common an occurrence
to view work that speaks from the heart, with such clarity and honesty, as your paintings do. Your decision to accept
or not accept will not change the wonderful feeling and response that I have had to viewing your work. It is sheer poetry.

Life goes on..., and our horizon will be the last line we see when it is behind us. We have to move on to get out of the darkness to see the light.
I have hope for Iranians to see the light they are waiting to see for so long....!

HOW MANY SUGAR DO WE REALLY NEED TO SWEETEN
OUR CUP OF LIFE?
WE WORK HARD TO MAKE SOMETHING OUT OF THIS LIFE.
WE RUN FASTER AND FASTER TO GET MORE OUT OF THIS WORLD.
WE LOSE AND WE FIND. WHAT DO WE REALLY LEAVE BEHIND?
REALITY OR IMAGINATION?
LIFE IS FULL OF SURPRISES.
WE ARE ALL TOGETHER, BUT LONELY SOULS.
PASSING EACH OTHER HELPLESSLY.
HOPING THAT TOMORROW WILL BE THE DAY!

ARE WE INDIVIDUALS, OR PART OF THE ONE INDIVIDUAL?
ARE WE ALL TOGETHER OR ALONE?
HOW ARE WE RELATED TO NATURE AND EACH OTHER?
IN OUR EARTHLY LIVES WE GO THROUGH WAVES OF
FEELINGS AND EMOTIONS SEARCHING IN THE DISTANCE.
ALONG THE WAY, IF WE STOP AND LOOK INSIDE WE COULD DISCOVER THE LIGHT WE ARE SEARCHING
FOR ON THE DISTANT HORIZON.

FARHAD NABIPOUR
Farhad Nabipour born in Esfahan, Iran (Persia) in 1962.
Began with pencil drawing at age 3 and 3 years later he was painting with oil.
In 1975 He had his first oil painting training in summer school holiday at Student Art Club in Esfahan. He was one of the best boy scott in Esfahan chosen for international jamboree in 1978, but never happened becouse of the Revolution in Iran,1979.
After that his paintings changed from landscapes to what he calls
"Inner Expression". His inner thoughts, feelings, dreams or nightmares and the sad reality of how people have to live becouse of change.
After 28 mounts in Navy, in Iraq - Iran war he decided to leave his home.
In 1990, he left Iran to find freedom of expression and to continue his professional career as an artist in New Zealand. "I could not have chosen a better place to be" he says.
In 1992, he began a study by a Stott's Correspondent Collage in NZ, gaining a diploma in Graphic Design & Commercial Art.
In 1994, he was commissioned to design an advertisement for Auckland International Airport.
Always searching for new challenges, Farhad moved to the United States in 1995 residing in Atlanta, Georgia. There he began researching and exploring the extensive subject of the American landscape.
In 1996, he studied with another Correspondent School, gaining a Diploma in Master Art. During this time he created more than 200 original oil paintings as well as his "inner Expression" paintings.
In 2000, he was commissioned by Trinity Gallery in Atlanta, to create two paintings for the largest Hilton Hotel in the United States.
After waiting eight years to obtain his legal status in the United States, he was deported to New Zealand in Jan, 2003.
He continues painting his visions, feelings and emotions. He wasted no time and started a series of powerful expressive paintings - imaginary landscapes inhibited only by a solitary tree or a chair (sometimes with a small figure of a man), using the rich colors of dark reds, umber and browns.
Walking into a space that contains one of Farhad's paintings, the viewer's response is immediate and intimate. These works are far from representational of a particular landmark, they are markers of emotional places.
"If only we would take the time to look, we would behold the peace,
truth and love within each
and every one of us as well as amidst the nature that surrounds us."
Farhad
Farhad cites Monet, Cezanne and Rene Magritte and Salvador Dali as most influential.
While his love of painting has made him a full-time artist, Farhad's interests extend to include poetry, writing, graphic art, photography and film making.
Farhad’s latest work represents a poetic allegory of one's loves, reminisces, choices and crossroads, belongings and solitudes.
The Studio of Contemporary Art is delighted to announce the opening of Amir's Second one-man show entitled "Inner Expressions II" on 4th October 2004.
